This educational tool is designed to help your child learn and understand daily routines while developing their motor skills. With the ROUTINO, you can teach your child routines in a fun and interactive way, nurturing the success of your child.

The ROUTINO

 

• The ROUTINO consists of two key parts:
• A mainboard and seven flaps that are connected to the mainboard through wooden hinges.
• The ROUTINO can be used hanging on the wall or you can hold it in your hand.
• To get started, open the ROUTINO so that all the flaps are hanging from the mainboard, only connected by the hinges.
• The mainboard describes the seven process steps of the routine illustrated with pictures.
• On the flaps, you will find three further pictures illustrating the details of each process step.
• To start teaching your child the routine, you walk them through the process by talking to them about the pictures.

 

 

How to use the ROUTINO, demonstrated with the 2. Step “Let’s go potty”

 

You could start by saying, "Okay kiddo, it's time for step two - let's go potty!

Look at the second flap, do you see the picture of the toilet? That's where we're going second. And see the pile of pupu and toilet paper on the flap too? That's what we need to use to clean up after we go potty."

 

Then you could make it a little silly and playful by saying, "You know what, let's make it a race! Let's see who can get to the toilet first - ready, set, go!" And you can run to the bathroom together, making it fun and exciting for your child.

 

Once you get to the bathroom and your child has finished, you can say, "Great job!

Now let's flip up the first flap and see the tick mark. That means we completed the first step! High five!"

 

By using a fun and engaging approach, you can make the ROUTINO a fun and interactive experience for your child, helping them to learn and understand daily routines in a playful way.

 

The flap will be attached to the mainboard by a magnet in the flap. The now visible backside of the flap has an emoji thumbs-up sign representing the completion of the first step.

 

Then you go through the remaining process steps using the same method.
